Successfully Completed Elastomer Technology I Training Program 🚀
As the Rubber Association, we successfully completed the first in-person edition of the “Elastomer Technology I” training program, which represents the first step of a long-standing educational initiative previously conducted online.
The training was held on April 7–8, 2026, at Ulutek Technopark, Bursa Uludağ University, with strong participation from industry professionals, researchers, and students interested in rubber and elastomer technologies.
Our distinguished academic experts, Prof. Dr. Bağdagül Karaağaç and Dr. Şehriban Öncel, delivered comprehensive sessions covering:
📍Polymer Chemistry
📍Introduction to Rubber Technology
📍Rubber Compound Ingredients
📍Aging Mechanisms in Elastomers
📍Additives and Performance Enhancers
📍Vulcanization Processes and Applications
I also had the opportunity to contribute by sharing my work and experiences on:
♻️ Rubber Waste Recycling
♻️ Advanced Recycling Technologies
♻️ Sustainable Materials and Circular Economy Solutions
♻️ Current Technological Developments in the Rubber Industry
After a long period of exclusively online activities, it was a great honor to host this training program and welcome participants on behalf of the Rubber Association. Bringing together industry professionals, researchers, and academics in a face-to-face environment once again created a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
I would like to thank all participants for their interest and engagement, as well as the management team of Ulutek Technopark for their support and hospitality throughout the event.
Together, we continue strengthening knowledge, innovation, and sustainability within the rubber industry.
